Skating Rinks and a Holiday Contest

Hello Qualicum Graham Park friends and neighbours,

We wish to share the below updates about what’s going on in our community for the month of December. Check it out below!

Volunteers needed for the community skating rinks

With the snow and colder weather here, we’ve started work on our community skating rinks!

As with previous years, we are looking for both adult volunteers and student workers to pitch in on this great community resource.  Whether it’s ‘base ice’ creation, rink maintenance and flooding, or rink monitoring, there are many ways you can help! No experience is necessary.  Having a large group of volunteers and workers will go a long way towards a successful skating season.

If you are interested in getting involved, please email the Rink Coordinator:  rink@qualicum.org

Holiday home decorating contest 🎄

Get ready to spread some holiday cheer! We’re excited to announce our Holiday Home Decorating Contest, taking place from December 19 to 22.

Show off your festive spirit and creative flair for a chance to win our first, second, or third place prizes, graciously sponsored by Smilies Home Services. The winners will be announced on the evening of December 22, and photos added to our community Facebook page. PLUS, the winner will be added to our home decorating plaque, hanging in the community centre!

So deck the halls and join the fun!

Very Best,
