Hello Qualicum Graham Park community and neighbours,
Qualicum Graham Park Community Association is ready to say farewell to summer and kick up some leaves with our 2026 Fall Festival, just around the corner!
Join us on Saturday, October 3th, 2026 at the Qualicum Community Centre and Nanaimo Park (48 Nanaimo Drive) for a free, family-friendly event for all ages, packed with Fall festivities and fun— it’s going to be unbe-leaf-able!
Here’s what we have in store:
1:00 – 4:00 p.m.

Fall Festival Market – Bake Sale and Craft Sale: Stock up on some sweet treats and a-maize-ing handmade crafts, gifts, and decor from our local artisans. Cash only please.

Pumpkin Carving & Scarecrow Making Contest: We’ll supply the pumpkins and straw, but it’s up to contestants to bring everything they need to create their perfect carving or scariest scarecrow. Some scarecrow essentials are: an old shirt and pants, gardening gloves, top hat, broom handle, boots, string and fasteners. Competitors will be provided with their own straw bale for stuffing and standing. Winners of both contests will be announced at sundown, just before the start of Movie Night in the Park.

NEW THIS YEAR!: At the suggestion of a community member, we’re adding a fun new activity to our festival – Zucchini Car Races! Yes, this is your chance to find glory on the race track! Head to your local farmer’s market, a back garden, or grocery story to acquire a fresh zucchini that you think will make a robust racing machine. Stick some wheels in it, decorate it to your wildest imagination, and send it flying down a race track to see if your custom racer glides to triumph, or finishes in spectacular fashion! Door Prize Draw: Do you love cozy fall fashion? Show us how much, and dress in your most festive fall outfit or favourite costume to enter your name in our festive door prize!

Movie Night in the Park: Join us in Nanaimo Park just after sunset for the animated dark (family) comedy, the Addams Family (2019). Snag a straw bale, or bring your blankets, lawn chairs, and comfy fall flannel to enjoy this kooky favourite. Popcorn and hot apple cider will be served, but feel free to also bring your favourite movie treats to enjoy under the stars!

Adult Wine & Cheese Social: Adults are welcome to join us inside the Community Centre after the start of the movie for a special evening of wine, cheese, and charcuterie. This is a great opportunity to connect with neighbours, purchase an association membership or renew, and to get to know your QGPCA Executive Committee. 19 plus only. Non-alcoholic beverages will also be available.
CALLING ALL LOCAL ARTISANS, CRAFTERS, and BAKERS!
If you want to impress with your delicious fall treats, showcase and sell your artisan crafts, or one-of-a-kind artwork at a market table at our Fall Festival, please reach out to Larissa at social@qualicum.org. Space is limited.
VOLUNTEERS WANTED!
We’re looking for a few festive folks to help plan and volunteer for our Fall Festival. If you’ve got an hour to spare on Oct. 3th, or if you have an urge to help create this event, email Larissa at social@qualicum.org. These events cannot happen without the support and passion of our volunteers.
