Summer Table Agri 150 at the Log Farm

Please join us this multi-course, farm-to-table dinner, featuring the local food and culinary talents of Savour Ottawa chefs and producers. 2940 & 2946 Baseline Site Plan Revision

For your information, BRIGIL provided a revised site plan package for the  development at 2940 & 2946 Baseline Road. This is a previously approved applicant and the applicant would like to change the approved drawings. The applicant is proposing to change the phase 1 building from an apartment building to a retirement home. There are no significant change to the building design, apart from a small retraction in the north-east building facade due to a transformer and changes in underground parking layout due to soil condition (reduction from 6 to 2 floors). The building will provide 166 parking spaces + 4 visitor parking spaces for the phase 1 retirement home, whereas the by-law requires 40 spaces with no required visitor parking. Phase 1 is for a four-storey apartment building at the south-east corner of the site, which have now been completed and occupied. Phase 2 is for another four-storey apartment building at the south-west corner of the site. This application is for Phase 3 of the project, which is the northerly half of the site abutting Draper Avenue. Phase 1 and 2 are commonly known as Qualicum Woods Crossing and Phase 3 will be known as Timberwood. The property is currently occupied by existing townhome units, which will be demolished and replaced with the proposed 73 freehold townhome units. The site will be serviced through three private streets and there will be three full-movement accesses, one off of Morrison Drive and two from Draper Avenue. Lac Deschênes Sailing Club Open House Saturday June 24

On June 24th Lac Deschênes Sailing club, will open its doors to you so that you can try the sport of sailing free of charge! Get Out On The Water – sponsored by Ontario Sailing and ROWONTARIO – is organized by many knowledgeable volunteers who will be with you every step of the way. The province-wide event not only gets participants out on a boat with a skipper, but they will also learn the basics of sailing along the way.
